Helsinki, Finland – 14.1.2025
Code School Finland is proud to announce that Google is investing in our mission to advance AI literacy by awarding us a sponsorship grant. The grant will empower educators and businesses with essential AI skills and knowledge, helping them comply with the EU AI Act and thrive in an increasingly AI-driven world.
In February 2025, Article 4 of the EU AI Act will take effect, requiring companies to ensure their staff have a sufficient level of AI literacy. The program will begin in Kymenlaakso, Finland—a key location for Google as the home of its Data Center—underscoring their commitment to fostering technological inclusivity in local communities. With Google’s support, Code School Finland will collaborate with local stakeholders to bridge the AI skills gap, preparing organizations and individuals to meet this challenge.
This sponsorship builds on a successful long-term co-operation between Code School Finland and Google. Earlier projects include the Digital Garage learning space in Helsinki and the Code School for Europe program across six countries.
“We’re honored that Google trusts us to continue our mission of educating people about AI,” said Kaisu Pallaskallio, CEO of Code School Finland. “This support from them shows confidence in our team’s work.“
