The National Board of Education in Finland distributes state grants every year for various projects that develop education, try out new ways of working or kick off new types of activities.
Online training suited well my busy schedule, as I could combine it with my teaching duties. The ready-made materials support taking my learnings into use in the classroom. Thank you!

Participated in one of our previous free training programsDuring 2022, Code School Finland will run multiple programs with the state grant. Targeted for teachers in basic education, our aim is to support and deepen their skills in teaching coding in a cross-curricular mode. The program Creative Coding for Schools kicks off in January with three various level training tracks to best suit primary, upper primary and middle school. Funded by the board, the program is therefore free to the participating schools and teachers.
This program is run in Finnish. More information on the project page.
Additionally, we have worked together with the Swedish Cultural Foundation for a number of years already. Their mission to support and strengthen the culture and education of the Swedish-speaking minority in Finland. During 2022 we’re running a program targeted for middle school teachers to train and provide them with teaching materials in Swedish for creative Python coding. The funding from the cultural foundation enables us to run it for free to the participants.
This program kicks off late January. More information on the project page.
Can we support you?
