Code School Finland runs a programming course for Treacher Methodist Girl’s School. The TMGS is a public secondary school in Taiping, Perak, Malaysia. It was established in 1889 as one of the earliest all girls’ new school in Malaysia.

During the 12 lesson course the participating middle school students learn basics of textual programming and practice working life skills in a fun and innovative way. Students develop their computational thinking, promote using good programming habits, establish fluent work routines and pursue an entrepreneurial attitude.

Course contents are based on Code School Finland curriculum and teaching materials. The course is taught fully online in English by our head trainer Sirkku Tahvanainen in Oulu, Finland. Due to the Covid-19 school closure, students in the Perak district participate online from their homes.
